Cavnakeeran House

This proposal responds to the rural vernacular through two simple narrow-plan blocks set perpendicular to each other, connected by a single-storey link. Rendered walls are punctuated with large openings framing countryside views.

The primary living block forms an asymmetric gable to the road, reinforcing familiar Irish rural forms. Internally, the gable-fronted block accommodates open-plan living while the other block contains the bedroom spaces. The building sits comfortably within its landscape, reinstating appropriate scale and massing.
